Does Ladder Rack for 2015 Ram 2500 Need to be Removed When Using Truck Camper

Question:

2015 Ram 2500 crew cab 6.5 bed cummins with 97 lance squire lite 185 Could it handle the weight of slide in pickup camper or would u have to remove whenever camper is on truck? How about other cab over racks that r height adjustable. Trying to tighten up the gap along bed rails and stabilize cab over while having ladder/kayak racks that 4x4 can be ramp loaded in bed when camper isnt mounted. Thanks

A truck camper like your 1997 Lance SquireLite 185 is going to mount on top of your bed rails, as are all the ladder racks that fit your 2015 Ram 2500, including the Invis-A-Rack Folding Ladder Rack # DZ951600 you mentioned. This means that you do need to remove the ladder rack when you want to use your camper.

The Invis-A-Rack can be taken on and off, but it would be pretty time-consuming and there is a height-adjustable ladder rack that is going to be much easier to take on and off, the Thule Xsporter Pro Adjustable Height Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH500XT (Silver) or # TH500XTB (Black). The Xsporter will be less labor-intensive to remove due to its easy clamp system. If you take a look at the installation videos I linked of both ladder racks you can see the difference.
