Question:
I own boat trailer with two 2,500 lb axles, a GVW of 5,000 lbs my entire boat, motors, trailer, fuel, etc. weighs less than 5,000 lbs, and I now have hydraulic surge brakes on only one axle. I would like to install Titan Hydraulic Brake Kit T4423500-400 on both axles and the spec for that kit mentions 3,750 lbs. I would also like to install Brake Actuator T43397007K which mentions 7,000 lbs. My question is does the above mentioned actuator have the capability to operate these two sets of brakes. If not, what combination actuator and brakes do you recommend for my trailer and load? Thanks

Expert Reply:
Yes, the Brake Actuator part # T43397007K will be sufficient to power two sets of the Titan Hydraulic Brake Kit part # T4423500-400. The combined weight capacity of the braking assemblies can exceed that of the coupler.
