Pumping Distance for Valterra SewerSolution Macerator System
Published 07/11/2019 >
Question:
We plan to do a permanent, underground, system for our Thor Vegas. The Valterra system would be used when holding tank is full. We need to pump approx 125foot with about a 1.5-2foot rise, to a 3inch house sewer connection. Will a 1inch dia PEX system, with 3 elbows, and about a 50psi water pressure do the job? I realize the published limits of the product but can it handle the extra distance with the larger, smooth diameter tubing? Thanks

I reached out to my contact at Valterra regarding the SewerSolution Macerator System # SS01 that you referenced and she does not recommend it for your particular application. It simply isn't going to provide enough pressure for the 125 foot distance you mentioned, especially when going up a slight incline. This system will create enough pressure to pump up to 100 feet but that is on flat ground.
If there is any way to shorten this distance for your setup then this is a great option using the tubing you have in mind, otherwise you will need something a bit stronger. This is the only macerator system we currently have available.
I have attached a short video demonstration that you can check out as well.
