While it may be technically possible to haul a wheelchair with your 2019 Toyota Camry, according to pg 204 of your owner’s manual “Toyota does not recommend towing a trailer with your vehicle. Toyota also does not recommend the installation of a tow hitch or the use of a tow hitch carrier for a wheelchair, scooter, bicycle, etc. Your vehicle is not designed for trailer towing or for the use of tow hitch mounted carriers.” The safest option for you would be to look into a bigger vehicle such as an SUV or truck for this purpose.
If a different vehicle simply isn’t an option, then your next best option would be to tow your wheelchair behind your Camry using a specialized wheelchair trailer using the Curt Trailer Hitch, # C11576, Ball Mount # C45521, 2” Hitch Ball # A-82 or 1-7/8” Hitch Ball # A-80 depending on the trailer requirement, and a wiring harness # C56350. Unfortunately this option would be at your own risk as Toyota would not warranty any damage to the vehicle that may have been caused by towing.
Finally, the last option would be a hitch mounted cargo carrier. The reason this is the last option is because there aren’t very many wheelchair carriers that will work with a Class II trailer hitch, which is the only Class available for your vehicle and your Camry likely can’t support the weight of a heavy wheelchair and cargo carrier at the back. The best option we could offer would be the Curt Cargo Carrier, # C18110, but you would have to lift the wheelchair onto the carrier or purchase a separate set of ramps like # 288-07474-2 which you will have to store in your Camry.
