To tow a 2005 Ford F-150 2 wheel drive vehicle using the RoadMaster Falcon 2 tow bar, # RM-520, you will need a new set of base plates. The XL base plate kit, # 495-1A, is the correct kit and you will need to retain or purchase new car side quick disconnects, # RM-222, to attach to the Falcon 2 cross bar.
My information shows that towing a 2005 Ford F-150 with automatic transmission requires the use of a drive shaft coupling. The Manual transmission 2 wheel drive vehicle are towable as is.
Once you determine if you will need a drive shaft coupling or not, you will need to wire the F-150 for towing. I recommend going with the bulb and socket kit, # RM-155, because it keeps the motorhome electrical separate from the electrical on the F-150.
You should already have safety cables from your Jeep and a supplemental braking system. If not you can use the safety cables, # RM-643 and the RoadMaster Even Brake System, # RM-9400.
You will need to check with your vehicle manufacturer for instructions on the proper procedure for towing your vehicle, because some vehicles must be equipped with a transmission lube pump, an axle disconnect, drive line disconnect, or free-wheeling hubs before they can be towed.
