Question:
I am looking to carry 4 kayaks on the roof of my 2017 Chrysler Pacifica limited. . I currently only have the factory roof rack. Can you recommend a set of crossbars and what other set up you think will be best as I do not have faith in the factory cross bars. A previous customers post recommended the rhino rack nautic stack as each of their 4 kayaks weigh 38# as are mine. I will for sure need all the gear to transport 4 kayaks. Also do not have the hood straps. Is there a roller assist feature that can be used to roll them up from back of van ? Please let me know what I will need. Any videos available to assess installation process ? Are the rhino nautic stacks preferred over the Thule stacker for my situation ? My apologies for soooo many questions. Thank you in advance for your help. I do appreciate it.

I can definitely help you transport your kayaks with your 2017 Chrysler Pacifica but at this point in time (July 2019) there are no aftermarket roof racks that are compatible with your vehicle. I did check the online version of the owner's manual for your 2017 Pacifica and on page 175 is states that you have a weight capacity of 150 lbs so if you have 4 kayaks that weigh in at 38 lbs each that puts you at 152 lbs which means you are exceeding the max amount of weight for your vehicle. I recommend verifying this in your copy of the owner's manual.
Because of this the only way you will be able to transport your kayaks is with a trailer like the Malone MicroSport Trailer for 4 Boats # MAL24ZR which comes with pads and enough straps for 4 kayaks.
To tow this boat trailer with your Pacifica Limited I recommend using the Curt Trailer Hitch # C65CR because it features a 2" receiver with a hidden crosstube.
For wiring, the T-One Wiring # 118712 with the Bracket # 18144.
According to our information you need a trailer hitch with a 2" hitch ball and a 5-1/2" rise to tow the trailer level. I recommend using the Curt Ball Mount # C45336 with the 2" Hitch Ball # A-90, and the Locking Hitch Pin # e98880 to complete your towing setup. This ball mount has a 5" rise which is close enough to what you need since it is within 1".
Attached are some installation videos that you can reference as well.
