Troubleshooting Kwikee Steps Extending and Retracting During Travel When it Rains
Updated 06/27/2019 | Published 06/26/2019 >
Question:
The kwikee step on my 2018 winnebago intent 29l extends and retracts while driving, but only in the rain. It works perfectly when everything dries out. All connections look good, no wires exposed. This is the correct control module for my application, but Im not sure it will solve the issue, what do you think?

If rain is causing the Kwikee Step assembly on your Winnebago to extend and retract that there is almost certainly something going on with the wiring that's causing a short. I know you said you already did this but I would still start by double and triple checking all the wiring for the control module and assembly to make sure there aren't any loose connections or pinched or exposed sections that need to be repaired/replaced. If all of this is good then there may be a crack or space somewhere on the control box that's letting water in and it's causing the short.
If everything looks good then replacing the control module with # LC363980 should resolve the issue.
