Does etrailer Trailer Hitch Fit 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport With Spare Tire

Question:

Hi - I just a had a friend install the etrailer class III receiver hitch, part# e98841 on my 2014 Santa Fe sport and the full size spare tire wont fit now. Do I need to get a smaller spare or is there a trick to getting the full size spare to fit with the hitch?

The etrailer.com Trailer Hitch # E98841 does fit your 2014 Hyundai Santa Fe Sport with a spare tire, though it can be tricky in order to get it back into position. You (or your friend) may need to angle the tire in and out, and use a bit of force to get it back into position.

If you go to about the 8:20 mark of the linked installation video you can see how one of our installers got the spare tire back on in a Santa Fe after a hitch install.
