Question:

Hi. I am looking into adding a Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch receiver Item #76227 to my 2016 Subaru Outback. The primary purpose for the hitch is to haul 2 bicycles using Thule T2 Pro XT2 bike rack. I have 2 questions with this regard: 1. Is this a good combination of hitch receiver and bike rack for my Outback? 2. Where can I find the specifications of the Draw-Tite hitch receiver, specifically the pin hole depth and the receiver depth? I want to match it with Thule T2 Pro XT2s fitting compatibility requirements mentioned in their website https://www.thule.com/en-us/us/bike-rack/hitch-bike-racks/thule-t2-pro-xt-2-2-_-1691037. Thanks

That is an excellent choice for a trailer hitch and bike rack for your 2016 Subaru Outback Wagon! When we installed the Draw-Tite Max-Frame Trailer Hitch Receiver # 76227 on a '16 Outback Wagon we found that from the center of the hitch pin hole to the furthest edge of the bumper measured 2-1/2" (see attached photo).

Since the Thule T2 Pro XTR, # TH83JV, measures 5" from the center of the hitch pin hole to the closest part of the rack when folded you won't have any problems with fitment!
