Is there a right and a left end cap. The ones that broke on my rack were marked 1/2 and 2/2. Threaded for attachment. Same part number 8523214001 Thanks

The Replacement End Cap for Thule Xsporter Pro Truck Bed Ladder Rack # 852-3214001 for the # TH500XT will work the same on both sides. Thule uses the same part number for both ends. My assumption is the 1 of 2 and 2 of 2 was to ensure you received the correct number of end caps in the box.
