Will TorkLift PowerArmor Lithium Battery Box Work with Other Types of Batteries

Question:

Why does TorkLift advertise this box as being for lithium batteries? It appears to be the same as their other boxes except that this one is 10.5inch wide inside. Is there any reason why it wouldnt work for large AGM or GEL cell batteries such as a Renogy GEL 200ah 20.6X9.5X8.7?

I reached out to my contact at TorkLift regarding the PowerArmor Locking Battery Box # TLA7700L and he said that the only thing that really differentiates this from other boxes with regards to Lithium battery compatibility is its physical size. Lithium batteries are typically a bit taller and more narrow so this box is designed to better support that size.

The box features two sections inside the box to hold two batteries and each area measures 13-3/8 inches x 7-1/4 inches with a height/depth of 10 inches. As long as your batteries can fit within these spaces there's no reason you couldn't use AGM or GEL batteries instead of Lithium units.
