Bike Rack and Trailer Hitch Recommendation for 2018 Mercedes Benz GLC300 For Ground Clearance

With the curt hitch #C13290, will the attached bike rack drag with the reduced ground clearance?

The Curt trailer hitch part # C13290 that you referenced does fit your 2018 Mercedes GLC 300 and once installed has a height of 11-3/4 inches from the top of the hitch opening down to the ground. This is plenty of ground clearance unless you are going up steep driveways.

That said, it's probably a good idea to go with a bike rack that has more rise built into the shank of the rack so that it will carry the bikes higher.

I really like the Saris SuperClamp EX part # SA4025F for this type of application. It has a decent rise in the shank at 5 inches and the bikes are held pretty close together which means less of an angle that can drag. This rack can also fit 2 inch (Class III) and 1-1/4 inch hitches (Class II) and weighs only 35 lbs. Check out the review video I attached as well.
