Will the Hands Free Liftgate Work on a 2019 Honda Pilot Elite with Curt Hitch C13146
Question:
I am purchasing a 2019 Honda Pilot Elite. I’m not looking to tow, but I have a folding hitch haul that I use quite a bit. Does this receiver interfere with the handsfree liftgate operation? What receiver would you recommend ? Dealer price for receiver with no wiring and fascia plate since it goes through the bumper is way too much $$$. Your help greatly appreciated. Thanks !

The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver part # C13146 which is a fit for your 2019 Honda Pilot Elite may interfere with the hands free liftgate feature as with all of the trailer hitches for this vehicle. However, there is a bracket (Honda part number I08L91-TG7-100C) you can purchase from the dealer to retain this. This is actually the trailer hitch I recommend for use with your folding cargo carrier because it offers better ground clearance than the Draw-Tite counterpart. The Curt hitch also has a superior powered coating so it will be more durable and it is made in the USA.
