Question:
Hi, Even though the tongue weight capacity of the Curt class III is 525 lbs, I cant find the tongue weight capacity of the vehicle. I am carrying my motorcycle on the hitch which weight about 450lbs and want to ensure I dont exceed the minimum capacity of either. Can you confirm the 525 lbs capacity is good on the lexus nx?

The owners manual of your 2015 Lexus NX200t doesn't specifically state a tongue weight rating, instead it states the tongue weight is to be between 9 and 11 percent of the gross trailer weight as long as your hitch can support that. It then states on page 182 of the online manual that the trailer should not exceed 2000 lbs which would mean the max tongue weight they specify is 220 lbs max.
You will want to use a trailer to tow your motorcycle instead of using a hitch mounted motorcycle carrier based on that tongue weight. I recommend the following components for your towing setup and trailer:
Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - Class III - 2" # C13337
T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector # 118652
etrailer.com Ball Mount Kit for 2" Hitches - 7,500 lbs # 989900
Detail K2 Mighty Multi A-Frame Utility Trailer - 7-1/2' Long - 1,640 lbs # K2MMT5X7
MaxxTow Adjustable Wheel Chock # MTMWC-01R
Erickson Motorcycle and ATV Tie-Downs w Soft Ties and TCS Buckles - 1"x6' - 400 lbs - Qty 2 # EM05729
This will give you everything you need to safely get your motorcycle to its destination without overloading your vehicle.
