Question:

I currently have a 2004 Acura TL that I want to install a hitch bike rack to safely stabilize my new road bike by the wheels, not the frame. If I were to get a new car, would this hitch be transferable to any other vehicle? Or is there another brand that would be?

The Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 24755 will only fit an Acura TL from 2004-2008. The reason for this is because like most of our trailer hitches it is a custom fit which means it is designed specially for the Acura TL frame. There is not a trailer hitch available that will fit your Acura TL and can then be transferred to another vehicle unless it is one listed above.

The bike rack I recommend for your road bike is the Kuat Transfer V2 Bike Platform Rack part # KU74FR which holds the bikes by the wheels and is very lightweight so it is easy to install at only 47 lbs. This bike rack can be transferred to your new vehicle without issue.
