Trailer Hitch for 2012 Toyota Prius v To Carry Thule Bike Rack With 2 Inch Shank
Updated 05/17/2019 | Published 05/16/2019 >
Question:
Bike rack hitch for Prius V 2012. I have been given a Thule bike rack, rear of car mounted. It requires a hitch to mount it. Is there a specific hitch model number that will work with this Thule rack? It has no model# on the Thule, but it looks like a older version of a 2 inch Access model.

Thanks for the photo and there is absolutely a hitch you can install on your 2012 Toyota Prius v, the
EcoHitch Hidden Trailer Hitch # 306-X7192, which will allow you to use your Thule bike rack with a 2" shank. This is the only hitch that fits your '12 Prius v with a 2" hitch receiver so it will be exactly what you need to carry your rack.
The EcoHitch is different than other hitches in that it is made of a recycled alloy combining stainless steel, steel, and aluminum. It will also bolt onto your Prius v without any type of drilling into the frame and has a lifetime warranty.
I have added a link to a video install of this hitch for you to check out as well.
