Question:
My current valve is actuated via a cable. I continue to experience problems with this configuration. Is it possible to replace the cable with on of the Valtera cable extension handles without replacing the gate valve?

You'll have to replace the entire valve as it's not possible to replace just the cable portion of your setup with a handle. You'd need the part # T1003VP or if you wanted longer handle options you'd also need a handle length that matches your needs:
8 inches, # TX8HPB
9 inches, # TX9HPB
24 inches, # TX24HPB
32 inches, # TX32HPB
36 inches, # TX36HPB
