Question:
I have a 1989 series 3218 steps that i have replaced the motor and gear assembly with a 366043 motor motor made in 2016, The assembly works fine when you power the motor directly. But the old controller although working will not drive the new motor. I think in need a new controller and may also need to change out the door switch. I think the Lippert 379146 Kwikee #9519 IMGL/9510 will work as a replacement. Can you verify that or let me know what other controller I will need

I do have options for you but the cutoff date for replacement parts on Kwikee Steps is 1999. I spoke with Lippert and they said you most likely have a pre pre-IMGL step in which case none of the control modules will work for you. If it turns out you instead have a pre-IMGL 1999 or later model then you can use the Lippert Components Kwikee 9510 Control for IMGL/9510 Step Control part # LC379146 but if not your only option would be to replace the steps altogether. If you can get me your part number and serial number (see photo) then I can confirm this for you.
For replacement steps, I recommend the Lippert Kwikee 32 Series Electric Step part # LC372261 which fits a 25-1/4" wide mounting bracket and comes with a new motor, control unit, and switch kit.
