Question:
High mount position cut of fascia: How far from the bumper to the top of the cut?

Expert Reply:
For a through-fascia installation, the instructions state that the top of the 3 inch square hole would fall 3-1/2 inches below the top edge of the plastic fascia.
Before cutting, I would strongly recommend you confirm these measurements for yourself. Install the frame brackets, then slip the hitch cross member behind the fascia. Because the fascia will be in the way, you will not be able to slide the cross member all the way forward, but if you can hold the cross member at the correct height so that the holes in the cross member are the same height as the holes in the brackets already installed on the frame, you will get a better idea of where the hole would need to be cut so that the receiver passes neatly through the fascia.
I have provided a link to the installations for reference.
