Question:
Will this slider work with a 30033 made in 1995.

Expert Reply:
The Reese Square Tube 5th Wheel Slider Base # RP30048 is not compatible with the head assembly from your hitch model # RP30033 so it cannot be converted to a slider. You will need to select new sliding hitch for your 2006 Silverado if it has a 6-1/2-foot bed, but if it is a 5-1/2-foot bed you will not get enough turning clearance from a sliding hitch and you'll need instead a Sidewinder king pin installed on the trailer.
For a 21K automatic sliding hitch you can use the Demco Hijacker Autoslide # DM8550035 that fits industry-standard above bed rails. This hitch gives you a full 14-inches of slide travel for superior turning clearance. If an 18K hitch will do it then instead use the Hijacker model # DM8550034.
