If the Jeep does not have a tow package, I recommend Curt T-Connector part # C55451 because it can handle 1 more amp per circuit than the other trailer wiring options for your Jeep. The more amps per circuit the better especially if you are towing a trailer with a lot of lights.
If the Jeep does have a tow package, I recommend Hopkins part # HM40975 7-way plug to plug into the factory port at the rear of the Jeep. This is the best option if you have the tow package because it simply plugs right in. I have attached an installation video for your referenced. The Hopkins part also gives you a 4-way if that is what you need.
If you are trying to tow a trailer with brakes and need a 7-way plug but the Jeep does not have the factory tow package, the plug will need to be hard wired in. I recommend part # ETBC7 and the Curt T-connector part # C55451 to hard wire the plug. The Curt C55451 is the 4-way connector that I mentioned earlier which only powers the lights on the trailer. You need the 4-way connector and the ETBC7 convert it to a 7-way plug on the Jeep to power the trailer brakes on the trailer. You also need a brake controller in the Jeep. The ETBC7 comes with all of the components you need to install. I have attached an installation video on an ETBC7.
