Hey, I have a 2015 mini cooper 2 door. I want to get roof rails and crossbars for my car to haul my kayak. What can I use for the rails and what cross bars would you recommend along with a kayak holder. Thank you.

I am happy to recommend a roof rack and kayak holder for the 2015 Mini Cooper 2 door.

I recommend Yakima roof rack part # Y00425 for the bars, part # Y64AR for the feet and ft kit part # Y06009. This is a aerodynamic bar system that will cut down on wind noise and allow you to carry your kayaks.

For the Kayaks I recommend, Yakima JayLow Kayak Carrier part # Y04073 because you can carry up to 2 kayaks with one carrier compared to most J-style carriers that only allow you to carry 1 kayak. It includes the tie-down straps to secure 1 kayak, if you need to secure 2 kayaks you need another tie down part # Y04031. I recommend adding the Yakima lock cores part # Y07202 to your carriers so you can lock them to the roof rack.
