Question:
Im towing a car on a tow dolly behind our motorhome .The dolly has electric brakes and lights .I was wanting to put magnetic lights on the car and was wondering if i can splice a four prong hookup for the magnetic lights into the tow dolly wiring or do i need a full seperate plug on the back of the rv for the magnetic lights. Thanks

You can certainly just splice the harness from the magnetic lights to the appropriate light circuit wires on your tow dolly instead of adding a new plug on the RV. This setup would activate the magnetic lights just the same as running the wiring to the RV.
To do this I recommend the Optronics # TL21RK that includes a separate 3 foot long 4-Way extension so that you can easily splice into the wires. I have attached a short video demonstration on this kit that you can check out as well.
