Will it hurt this fridge to transport it lying on its back

When transporting fridges like the Everchill Refrigerator for RVs # 324-000119 it's recommended to transport them upright if at all possible. If you have to lay the fridge down it's recommended you let it set at least three hours upright before plugging it in. Ideally it sits upright for 24 hours.
