Question:

1994 Safari Trek Motorhome, Isuzu diesel I wish to install a trailer receptacle for my boat trailer. I dont have a wiring diagram for this motorhome. Can you assist me? Thanks

To wire a 6-way trailer connector to your motorhome you are going to need to use a circuit tester like the handy Cordless Circuit Tester # PTW2979 and match the connector to your wires by function. The reason you need to do this is because color codes are not universal and there is no database we have access to with wiring color diagrams for specific years, makes and models of vehicles. Even if there were, the wiring could have changed from previous owners so it would be unreliable, hence the necessity of using Circuit Tester # PTW2979.

If you take a look at the accompanying photo you can see the pin function locations of 6-way connectors such as the Trailer End Connector # PK11604 and Vehicle End Connector # PK11609.
