The holes you will need to access to install the Lippert Components Universal Slide Out Wear Pad part # LC103480 on the inner tube should be accessible once you extend the slide but if you can let me know exactly what slide you have, I may have more information for you.

In regards to the wear tabs inside the outer tube, you will need to remove the entire inner tube in order to access these most of the time unless there is some sort of access hole. The process to install the wear pads is not difficult but in order to get to that point, you have to disassemble quite a few parts which is why this process is best left to a professional RV technician. I have attached a general photo to show were the wear pads install.
