How does this support your body in the middle where the drive drain hump is, since it doesnt go all the way to the floor

That middle section you are referring to on the AirBedz Rear Seat Air Mattress # 341029 should rest right on top of the hump you are talking about. If your vehicle doesn't have this support then you may need to put something under it to help support that section.
This is confirmed to fit the 2018 GMC Sierra 1500 that you entered in as your vehicle information but if you have something else let me know what the year/make/model is and I can see if we have something different for your application.
