I have a 2003 Winn Brave. I’d like to flat tow a 2014 Chevy 1500 4x4 Silverado that will be carrying an 48 volt electric golf cart. What would you recommend?

For your 2014 Chevy Silverado 1500 4x4 with electric golf cart in bed, I recommend starting with the Demco Classic Base Plate Kit # DM9518200 and then adding the Demco Excali-Bar III Non-Binding Tow Bar # DM9511013. This will have the safety cables included.

For your tow bar and vehicle wiring, I then recommend the Roadmaster Diode 7-Wire to 6-Wire Flexo-Coil Wiring Kit # RM-15267 and Roadmaster Automatic Battery Disconnect with Switch # RM-766.

For your supplemental braking system I recommend the SMI Stay-IN-Play DUO Supplemental Braking System - Proportional # SM99251. This system only needs adjustment at installation and then becomes a plug and play system ready to go with a simple flip of a switch.

The tow bar has an integrated adapter but if you need more height for your truck you can use the attached article to determine what high-low adapter may be needed for safe towing.
