Question:

Is there a plug-and-play 5-way flat wiring harness available for my 2019 Honda Pilot, similar to this harness but with the reverse light wire to lock out the trailers surge brakes? Or is my only option to install a 4-way and add a 4-way to 5-way adapter? I understand that a 4-way to 5-way adapter would need to have the additional wire spliced to the reverse light. If I have to add a 4-way to 5-way adapter, do you happen to know which wire in the Honda Pilot is the reverse light, so that I can avoid poking holes in them with a probe?

They do not offer a direct plug and play 5-way trailer wiring harness for your 2019 Honda Pilot or most vehicles for that matter nowadays. The only way to obtain a 5-way trailer wiring harness is to use a 4-way trailer wiring harness, the Curt T-Connector Vehicle Wiring Harness part # C56291 and then a 4 to 5-way adapter, the Curt Trailer Connector Adapter part # C57187 which only requires one splice on the vehicle and trailer. The reverse light circuit on your Pilot should a brown wire but I do recommend testing first.
