Troubleshooting Pop and Lock Tailgate Lock Install on Honda Ridgeline Where It Won't Unlock

Question:
ive installed it and it will lock but not unlock. any ideas? im slightly color blind and two of the little wires look yellow. perhaps i attached to the wrong one?

You didn't mention the year of your Ridgeline but when installing the Pop and Lock tailgate lock part # PAL8600 on a 2005-2016 Honda Ridgeline the yellow with a black stripe wire is for lock and yellow with a green stripe is for unlock. For someone who is color blind I can see how that would be hard to decipher. Most likely the wiring is off so you might double check the connections and wires used.
For a 2017 and newer model the wiring colors are red for lock and yellow for unlock.
