Unfortunately this type of information is not usually available from trailer manufacturers, especially on older models like your 1976 Gator Boat Trailer. The ball size is typically stamped inside or on top of the coupler, however this information might be worn out or hard to read on an a trailer like yours that has been around for a while.
If you can't locate any size information then the next option is to verify the trailer's weight capacity or GVWR. This number can give an indication of the ball size, as different sizes will have different weight ratings. If you can give me this information I will be happy to see if I can locate the correct hitch ball.
I have attached a link that will take you directly to our selection of hitch balls that you can look through. It is also important to select one with a shank diameter that matches the hole on your ball mount.
