We are planning a Tahoe trip soon. And plan on driving our 2016 Jeep Cherokee... what is best for the snow??? Thank you

Tire chains are the best for deep snow. Snow tires do a great job but there's nothing that works better in super deep snow than chains. Cables are basically a one-time use chain that's bargain priced. For your tire size of 245/65-17 the cable set part # PW3010C will work great to get you out of an emergency situation but if you plan to use chains more than a few times these won't hold up long enough to be a worthy investment. These are best for potentially one time use but mainly to get you through checkpoints like mentioned.
The best solution is the Thule Easy Fit chains part # TH04115250 as they install in a matter of seconds, give you excellent traction, are a diamond pattern which is smoother, and they will last you a very long time.
