Question:
What makes a product like this rated for 18,000 lbs and my Andersen Hitch is only 10,000? It would appear that this is a far superior product.

I am not sure which Andersen hitch you have, but the Flash E Series HD Adjustable 2-Ball Mount # FA42-00-2625 you referenced is made for 2-1/2 inch hitches which allows the shank and rest of the ball mount to be larger and therefore stronger. You should note that this only has an 18k capacity when you use the 2-5/16 inch hitch ball and if you use the 2 inch ball you are reduced to 12,000 lbs.
