Should Two Propane Tanks Feed RV Accessories at One Time
Updated 01/29/2019 | Published 01/27/2019 >
Question:
I would like to draw propane from two tanks simultaneously to feed my propane forced air heater. I would need to use the current regulator and fitting. So what I think Im looking for is a Y adapter to connect the two propane tanks and to the current fitting on the regulator. Can you help me? Thanks in advance for any help you can give me.

Expert Reply:
Since propane appliances like heaters require low pressure propane there's not really an advantage to having both tanks feed appliances at the same time. Best option is an automatic changeover like the part # CAM59005 which will use one tank until it is empty and then switch over to the other. The pressure is reduced so much for LP that there really isn't a reason to ever need two tanks to feed one line.
