In a response to a question, Jason S. referred to an alternate hookup location on the drivers side B pillar. How is the wiring routed into this space?

When installing the Pop & Lock Custom Tailgate Lock # PAL8600 on your 2018 Honda Ridgeline you will drop the wiring behind and down from the tailgate. You can then route the wire to the front of the vehicle under the driver's side of the truck, being sure to avoid any moving parts or heat sources. The best way to route the wiring inside the driver's side cab will still be to snake it through the engine compartment and through the rubber grommet in the firewall that the factory wire harness runs through from the fuse box.
I have attached the complete installation instructions that you can check out along with a video that you can use for reference (although in the video our installer connects to the fuse box behind the kick panel instead of the B pillar).
