I have the BakFlip MX4 hard trifolding BAK48120 already installed on my 2017 GMC Sierra 5-1/2 foot bed pickup. Is the TracRac TH43002XT-782 ladder rack compatible with my existing MX4 trifold cover? I saw where someone asked this direction question but the etrailer.com answer Jeffrey L. addressed compatibility with a different BakFlip product Revolver Thanks.

While the Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH43002XT-782 will technically fit your 2017 GMC Sierra 1500 with a 5-1/2 foot bed and the BAKFlip MX4 # BAK48120, the issue is functionality. If you take a look at the accompanying photo, the arrow I added shows the flap of the BAKFlip MX4 and how it extends onto the bed rails. What this means is that you may have difficulty when trying to fold the MX4 up or back down and it may rub against the rails of the ladder rack.
What you will need is a different BAK cover for your '17 Sierra 1500 with a 5-1/2 foot bed to use the Thule TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Rack # TH43002XT-782:
- BAK Revolver X4s Hard Tonneau Cover # BAK25VR
The Revolver X4s is the best option for use with the TracRac is because it sits fully inside the bed rails of your truck.
