Yes, the front loops on the Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver part # 31367 can be used for vehicle recovery up to 9,000 lbs. In fact, this is actually what they are designed for. This hitch will be a direct fit for your 2014 Toyota FJ Cruiser and will not require any drilling. If you ever need to pull yourself out you can also attach a winch like the ComeUp Cub Winch w/ Mounting Plate for 2" Hitches part # CU123933.
