Where to Find Wiring When Installing Pop and Lock Tailgate Lock on 2019 Honda Ridgeline

Question:

Is there an easy way to get from underneath up and into the drivers side B pillar where one of the experts said someone found that the wiring could be attached there instead of going all the way to the front.

When installing the Pop and Lock Tailgate Lock # PAL8600 you need to tap into the wiring of the 2019 Honda Ridgeline and Pop and Lock has a recommended location for that. By the drivers side seat in the B pillar (by the seatbelt) there is an easy point to connect the wiring. You will use the same small red and small yellow wires as in the installation instructions, but they are more accessible in this location for an easy connection. I've attached photos to assist.

To access this you'll need to remove the trim pieces that cover the B pillars. Essentially you'll have to remove the door seal in that area and that will help you access and see the retaining tabs that hold the pillar cover on.
