Low Profile Replacements for 7.00-15LT Trailer Tires
Published 12/09/2018 >
Question:
I have a trailer on which we built a construction office. Currently has 7.00 - 15lt tires. We do not have as much clearance between the tire and frame as we would like. What tire options are available that would be lower profile? Assuming we need 8 ply at a minimum as the gross weight is around 8000-9000 lbs

Expert Reply:
The smallest diameter tire with the weight capacity needed to support your trailer is going to be a 225/75-15 with a class e rating. For this, I recommend the Karrier ST225/75R15 Radial Trailer Tire part # AM10303 which is going to give you an additional 1/2" of clearance. It looks like the tires you have now are dry rotted so it would be a good ideal to replace them anyway.
