Recommended Ski Carrier for 2010 VW Golf with Factory Roof Rack

Question:

please give me your recommendation for a decent set of ski racks to fit a 2010 vw golf...we have the OEM VW crossbars on the car, which have T-slots for connectingthink they are made by Thule. Just cant bring myself to spend the $$s for the Thule racks. Thanks

For the factory crossbars on your 2010 VW Golf I recommend taking a look at the Rhino-Rack Ski and Snowboard Carrier # RR574.

I really like the Rhino-Rack products because they provide many of the same benefits and features of the higher-end units like Thule but offer a much friendlier price point. This is a great quality carrier that can secure up to 4 pairs of skis and uses a soft rubber molding to ensure an excellent grip without the risk of any scratches on the skis. Locks are also included to secure your investments and help deter theft.

This particular carrier can mount to the factory bars on your VW by either clamping around them with the included mounting brackets or by attaching to the top channel you mentioned with the T-bolt hardware.
