Will the Hollywood Racks SR1 Fit a Toyota FJ Cruiser with Spare Tire Cover

Will the rack be secure on a spare tire with the plastic cover or does the plastic cover need to be removed?

The spare tire cover on your 2012 Toyota FJ Cruiser will need to be removed in order to use the Hollywood Racks SR1 2-Bike Carrier part # HRSR1. The reason for this is because the rack could shift as you go over bumps if it was not attached directly to the tire.

If you have the stock 265/70-17 tires on your FJ Cruiser then there won't be any fit issues with the bike rack. If you have an aftermarket tire size then so long as they do not exceed 15" wide then the bike rack will work just fine for you. I have attached a review video on a Jeep.
