How Tight Should Nut be On Curt Hitch Ball # C40007
Updated 12/04/2018 | Published 12/03/2018 >
Question:
The tag on this ball 40007 says to torque to 450 ft lbs. It has been my understanding that the majority if not all of 1inch shank diameter balls are to be torqued to 250 ft lbs. What is the correct torque for this particular ball? Thank you

Looks like you have the wrong tag on your hitch ball part # C40007. The tag that it should have came with is supposed to read 250 ft lbs. If you watch the review video I attached for this ball you'll see our reviewer reads from the tag that it requires 250 ft lbs.
