Question:
Not to sound dumb, but how do I get the wiring off the back of the current switch? Its like the wiring is glued to the prongs.

Most likely the wires are soldered to the existing switch # BL0108-00 on your Ventline Roof Vent.
To remove the wires you can either use a soldering iron like # PTW2000 on the wiring just enough that you can pull them free or if there is enough extra wiring you can simply cut them and reconnect them to the new switch after stripping the new ends.
