Does Drilling Protector Plate of Tire Claw Wheel Lock Limit it To Use with One Wheel
Published 11/27/2018 >
Question:
Can you explain why the arm on this claw does not come pre-drilled and pre-tapped for the machine screw that attaches the lug nut protector plate to the arm on the claw? If the explanation is that the positioning of the plate varies depending on tire/wheel size, then doesnt that mean that once the plate is installed, the tire clubs use is limited to that specific vehicle or trailer? Thanks!!

The plate does require drilling like you mentioned and the purpose of that is so that you essentially custom fit the wheel lock to the application you have. The good news is that if you wanted to reuse the lock on a different wheel you could drill a new hole and you'd be set.
