Question:

I installed a CURT 13575 hitch on my 2013 Mazda CX-9 . The hitch height measured from floor after install is approx. 14 inches. I was going to buy a curt 45036 but i see it has a of 2 inch. . The U-haul standard coupler height is 18 inches. Doesnt this mean i need to buy a ball mount with a 4 inch rise. I would assume most 2013 Mazda CX-9 owners will a 14 inch height.. if most trailers coupler height is 18 inches, should nt most buyers be buying the rise hitch ball. Your website seem to suggest the is most suggested, what am I missing?. Which hitch ball should i be buying. Thanks and anticipating a quick response

You are on the right track with picking out a ball mount. You will want something that will give you a 4 inch rise so that your trailer can be towed level. Not every trailer has the same height though so it's kind of hard to recommend a one-size-fits-all ball mount but since we know what you need we can recommend the correct rise for your application. For that we have the Curt ball mount part # C45070 which has a 4 inch rise. For a 2 inch ball you'd then want part # 63845 or # C40002 for a 1-7/8 inch hitch ball.
