Question:
I was wondering what a 2012 Ram Big Horn 5.7 hemp towing capacity was. It has the 3.73 rear end I think. Was wondering if it could pull around 11,000 pounds.

I pulled up a chart I found online that had all of the towing capacities listed for the 2012 Ram 1500 models and the highest capacity is if the rear end gear ratio is 3.92 with the 5.7 liter engine and the capacity is 10,250 lbs. but the truck also has to be a 4x2, regular cab, and a long bed. The lowest capacity version had a 6,650 lb capacity and had gear ratio of 3.21, was a crew cab, and had a short bed.
There isn't an option for 3.73 gears for your truck so you may verify what you have, but either way there's no configuration that has enough capacity for an 11,000 lb trailer.
For suspension enhancement designed to help support the rear suspension of your truck we have the Timbren kit part # TDR1500DS as a confirmed fit for the 2012 Ram 1500. This will help reduce sag as you are towing and doesn't require air bags to be inflated or maintained like some of the air bag kits do.
