Yes, I spoke with my contact at Demco who confirmed that the Blue Ox Acclaim Tow Bar # BX4330 is compatible with the Classic Base Plate Kit # DM9518037 for your 2000 Dodge Dakota.
For a complete flat towing setup you will also need vehicle tow bar wiring, a supplemental braking system, and possibly a high-low adapter. If you don't already have these then I recommend using magnetic lights like part # TL21RK and the Blue Ox Patriot # BLU37TR for a braking system.
Both of these options will work great and are very easy to install. They can also be taken off and mounted to another vehicle without changing anything on either vehicle.
Most flat towing setups require a high-low adapter for the tow bar to remain level while towing. I have linked our selection of adapters for you to check out as well as an article that will help you determine which is the best one for your application.
