5th Wheel Tailgate, Hitch and Camera System for 2019 Ford F-250 Long Bed

Question:

We'll be getting our 2019 F-250 soon and I need to get a 5th wheel tailgate. We ordered the long bed truck with the puck setup and a rear tailgate camera so we'll need a new camera setup for watching the hitch and trailer. The two trailers we're looking at come in at about 17000 gvwr.

For a 5th wheel towing tailgate for your 2019 Ford F-250 I suggest the Stromberg Carlson 4000 Series # VG-15-4000. This is made of sturdy lightweight composite plastic so rust and corrosion will never be a worry and it will be easy to handle. This USA-made tailgate includes all installation hardware and you can see the installation process in the linked video.

In case you have not already chosen your 5th wheel hitch I suggest you consider the USA-made 20K B&W Companion fixed hitch # BWRVK3300 or the 25K model # BWRVK3305. Both of these are made specifically to drop right into your Ford 5th wheel prep package and both share the build quality that makes B&W a market leader. B&W does all of their own fabrication and assembly in-house at their Kansas facility. Their products last.

Since you will no longer have an OEM tailgate camera I suggest you consider the Rear View Safety Backup Camera System with Side Cameras, part # RVS-062710. This 4-camera system allows you to watch your hitch, trailer and the other motorists on the road on its included 7-inch color monitor. Since this is wired system it will never suffer from interference that can occur with the wireless type of camera. All 4 cameras, cables, and mounting hardware are included. The rear cameras even feature infra-red LEDs for night-vision capability. You can check out the linked video to see this system.
