Question:

So Ive settled on the BandW Companion BWRVK3400-5W as my hitch, which Ill pair with the Installation Rails: BWGNRK1384-5W. I know that the Sidewinder and Revolutioninch pin boxes are now out. Since Im going with the bes options here, whats the best pin box that I can combo with this hitch?

The absolute best pin box to use with the B&W Companion 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch part # BWRVK3400-5W and the Custom Underbed Installation Kit part # BWGNRK1384-5W on your 2017 Ram 2500 is the Trailair Flex Air 5th Wheel Pin Box.

The Trailair Flex Air pin box has both a cushioned airbag and shock absorber. The airbag is going to act as a buffer between the trailer and 5th wheel hitch. As the airbag absorbs the shock, the shock absorber then prevents any bouncing. This unit also has a pivoting head which is going to allow it to move front to back reduce what is referred to as chucking.

If you can tell me the make and model of the pin box you have now I would be glad to make sure you get the proper replacement. The make and model is usually placed on a sticker atop the unit. The most common is a Lippert 1621 for which the correct replacement would be part # LC328492.
