Question:
Two questions: 1. does the pipe spin freely on the post so it works somewhat like a roller? 2. Is this just standard schedule 40 PVC? I would like to make it a couple inches taller...22 is just under my boats rubrail and would want to make them a bit taller by swapping out the pvc parts. thanks! Note: this is a non-standard use for these I have a Flats Fishing skiff which is on a trailer designed for a wider boat. I want to add guide boards, but most designs bolt on so that they are on the outside of the trailer frame...my boat sits 2 inside the frame so standard guide boards are too far apart. I think these pontoon guides will work great when mounted on the cross bar inside of the frame...

Yes, the pipe will spin freely on the CE Smith Post-Style Guide-Ons part # CE27670. I called my contact at CE Smith and they informed me that the pipes are made of a standard schedule 40 PVC. You are more than welcome to go to your local hardware store to get a longer set but we do offer these in 40" tall part # CE11339 and 60" tall part # CE11354. You can always just trim what you don't need off with a hacksaw.
